Flawless Skin 101: Skincare Tips & Regimen

Sarah QaiserComment

So, I’ve had a really good skincare REGIMEN since my early twenties and I attribute that to working at the headquarters of one of the biggest skincare brands in the world. not only I was lucky to have access to great quality skincare, but I also had access to the education behind taking care of your skin.

I wanted to share my routine because as cliché as it sounds, I do get asked this a lot, so I figured I should share it with everyone.

Morning Routine:

  • Cleanse: Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

  • Toner: Dermalogica MultiActive Toner

  • Serum: The Ordinary B-Oil or Dermalogica Biolumin C

  • Moisturizer: Cetaphil or Dermalogica Active Moist

  • Sunscreen: Aveeno Positively Mineral Sunscreen

Evening Routine:

  • Double Cleanse: Dermalogica PreCleanse + Special Cleansing

  • Exfoliate (every 2 days): Dermalogica Superfoliant

  • Serum + Gua Sha: The Ordinary B-Oil or Rosehip Oil

  • Face Mask + NuFace: Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask

  • Retinol Oil + Moisturizer + Face Massage: Dermalogica Retinol Oil & Cetaphil Moisturizer

I know my routine might look insane to you, so definitely cut down what you cannot keep up with. My key points are below:

  • Wash your makeup off! Don’t be a sicko and leave that shit on!

  • Moisture is KEY! I don’t care if I look oily. In my opinion, Oily Skin > Dry Skin. Plus, it will help prevent wrinkles over time if you keep your skin hydrated.

  • Speaking of hydrated, drink A LOT of water. When I say a lot, I mean drink your body weight in ounces every day. You’d be surprised just want this tip can do for your skin.

  • Use sunscreen ALWAYS. Yes, even when it’s overcast.

  • Exfoliate every couple of days (depending on your skin) to turn over those skin cells.

I would also suggest going to a professional to get advice before splurging on anything. Everyone’s skin is different, so what works for me may not work for you. You can always get samples to test out a product before you fully commit.
