GREAT GIFT IDEA: BRUNCH IN A BOX

OK, so for this last Christmas, I was racking my brain on what I could get all my friends & family (including their kids) for Christmas and it was SO overwhelming trying to put together a list of things to get for everyone. I had been making my cinnamon rolls for people in November and had a brilliant idea that would solve my challenge in regard to gift ideas; BRUNCH IN A BOX.

So, my friends & family had all tried my homemade cinnamon rolls (recipe is a secret!) and I knew that had to be the pillar of the gift. In addition to the cinnamon rolls, I wanted mimosas, of course, an egg item, a meat item, and fruit. The idea was that the box could be used for a family’s breakfast one day during the holidays (or supplement a breakfast depending on how big the family was).

Deciding on all the pieces for this project was a challenge in itself - I had to find a box that would be big enough to fit the full-size Prosecco bottle and the big box of cinnamon rolls along with all the other goodies.

In retrospect, I think the box I chose was far too large and it made the personal delivery of the items really difficult, but with the holidays approaching and the potential shipping delays (regular and COVID related) I felt a little stuck and ended up going with these huge ones. I would take extra time out next time to find a smaller and shallower box.

  • Box of 9 Cinnamon Rolls

  • 2 egg soufflés

  • Package of Canadian bacon or fresh baguette

  • Kraft paper for volume

Overall, it was a really speical gift that came together nicely and was really well recieved by everyone. It also was a great way to see some friends I had not seen for almost 9 months (leaving the package on their doorstep and catching up from afar - 10ft+) was a nice way to end the year.

I would LOVE to hear if you recreate in anyway, let me know what you come up with!!
