Positano, Italy

Positano is currently my favorite place in the world. It truly has my heart.
We drove over from Amalfi to Positano in the late morning. Positano was on my must-see list because I really wanted to see that iconic view you see all over Instagram.
We caught a little bit of traffic (with a side of anxiety) driving along the coast. It was a good experience, but if you can’t take suspense or your relationship is on the rocks, I recommend you opt for a car service. You watch these giant tour buses driving with a lot of confidence and it’s basically a one-way street on the coast. It’s just a lot to endure.
In the end, the crazy drive was worth it as we pulled up to the most picturesque backdrop of the pastel buildings Positano. It was about lunch time when we arrived, so we found a parking structure, walked to our hotel for the night and dropped off our bags. We stayed at B&B Casa Teresa which was steps from Fornillo Beach and about a 15-minute walk from Spiaggia Grande Positano (the main beach in Positano). It was only $180 for the night, so we thought that was a steal!
We had a nice lunch at Fornillo Beach at Bar Bagni Fernando then continued over to the main piazza to explore. After a lot of walking and some shopping, it was time for yet another meal. We were on our way back towards our hotel and found this lovely beach side spot to have an early dinner, The Brasserie at the Hotel Covo dei Saraceni . We enjoyed a pizza and a beautiful platter of fried fish.
The next day is what took Positano to the #1 spot in my heart. We were supposed to get our car after breakfast, but I really wanted a full beach day. We came across La Scogliera Beach Club at Spiaggia Grande Positano. The cost for this spot is definitely more expensive than the other options you can find on the beach, but it is quiet and pretty secluded. We had been pretty good with our budget the whole trip, so this was our little splurge and it was my chance to play in the Tyrrhenian Sea for the day.
Since it was early in the day, we got dibs on a great spot that was almost like our own private little beach. The spot was reserved for us for the entire day and there was a server who would bring us food or drinks if we wanted. While the drink options were great, we didn’t love the food options, so we walked over to Chez Black for a Margherita Pizza, Spaghetti & Mussels and my daily spritz. I also got a lemon sorbet in a lemon and brought it back to our spot at the beach club.
The day was picture perfect and we were having so much fun that we ended up staying a good 8 hours. It was a wonderful way to spend our time in Positano, I highly recommend it!
This wraps up our tour of Italy! Hope you enjoyed all the posts.
