The Perfect Aperol Spritz

Ok, so I’m writing this post because there seems to be some confusion on what the recipe is for an Aperol spritz. Well, I’m here to give you the perfect recipe! But I can’t take credit for it, because guess what? Surprise! It’s on the back of the bottle! YOU’RE WELCOME.

OK, I’m obviously making fun of myself because I am the one who didn’t realize it was there for quite some time. But in all honesty, the reason I looked up the recipe initially was that I noticed the spritzes in Italy tasted more bitter than the ones here at home. A lot of recipes I’ve seen around say it is 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Aperol & 1 part soda water, but the bottle states it should be even parts of Prosecco & Aperol with a splash of soda water.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Prosecco

  • Aperol

  • Sparkling Water

  • Slice of orange for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

  • Fill a glass with ice

  • Pour equal parts Prosecco & Aperol

  • Top with a splash of soda water or sparking water (I use San Pellegrino)

  • Garish with an orange slice & enjoy!

So there ya go - can’t get any easier than that, can It?
